Heroes and Hamburgers: Free family fun. Building a community. Supporting Bella Vista, AR police, fire and EMS.

Heroes and Hamburgers in Bella Vista, AR

You do not want to miss this celebration.

Heroes and Hamburgers is a fun-for-all event in our great town of Bella Vista, AR, featuring Simple Pleasures’ amazing hickory fired cheeseburgers, great classic rock by Walrus, muscle cars from then-and-now and so many activities to choose from!

What makes this event one that you can’t miss is both children and adults can meet and interact with our local heroes. The amazing men and women of our Bella Vista police, fire and EMS departments will ride with your kids on hayrides around the Simple Pleasures property. You and your children can compete with them in the real National Guard obstacle course and then you can sit and enjoy some of the best ice cream in America. Every activity is a great opportunity to meet and get to know a local hero.

Our Local Heroes

They are on-call 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. They don’t have Christmas and holidays off with their families and when the fires are large, the moments are tense or the urgency is great, they are there to take on the challenge – even if they lose the battle.

Here at Simple Pleasures, we honor the people that protect and serve our wonderful community and help us to live, play and run our business with freedom and peace of mind. When we learned of Bella Vista’s great need for GPS computers for first responder vehicles, we knew that we had to do something. The proceeds of Heroes and Hamburgers will go towards the city’s goal of raising $204,000 to purchase and install them.

“Time is the most valuable thing there is in emergencies. One or two minutes saved by a vehicle computer may be the difference in a child choking to death and a living a long life…Purchasing these computers will save livessand reduce the risk to police officers.” – Police Chief Ken Farmer

Our Great Community of Bella Vista, AR

The definition of the word community:

a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”

As I read the news every day, I keep seeing this theme of cities and neighborhoods of people that are unhappy, can’t find a common element to bring them together and don’t have this sense of community. I don’t want this to happen to our beautiful community. By bringing us all together for fun, fellowship and by getting to know the people that take care of us, I think we can continue to keep Bella Vista a great community.

The event is September 18, 11am to 4pm. Attendance is free. Meal tickets can be purchased at the event. Grab your friends and family and your lawn chairs or blankets too, and join us for a great day a Simple Pleasures.

If you are interested in sponsoring the event, want to make a donation or learn more, visit the event website www.heroesandhamburgers.com.

Heroes and Hamburgers is a unique opportunity to strengthen your community, celebrate and thank the men and women of Bella Vista police, fire and EMS, and enjoy some of the best food in America.
