Can we bring our own food?

Yes, you can bring your own food. Some people do both. They want our slooooow smoked meats but bring in their special side dishes.

What are your hours?

Our hours are flexible to accommodate your event. We are not open for “drop in” dining.

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

We don’t serve it ourselves, but you can bring in your choice of alcoholic beverages. We’ll ice it down for you and even provide a bar (free) if you like.

How many people can you accommodate?

The capacity varies with event type. We host events ranging in attendance from 40 to 800. The general capacity guide is as follows:

• Inside seated: 200
• Inside seated & standing: 350-400
• Outside & inside: 500-800

Do you have a stage for entertainers?

Yes, we have a 1,200-foot stage for outside concerts, wedding ceremonies, award presentations, graduation ceremonies, etc. An inside stage, if needed, is provided by entertainers or rented.

Do you allow smoking?

Ashtrays and butt disposal are outside. There is no smoking inside.

Will you tell our group about the cars?

If you request, we’ll share with your group a little history of the cars and why they were selected for Simple Pleasures. Some groups ask us to use the cars as icebreakers to get conversation started. With events, you’re the coach and calling the plays, so you can tell us if and when you want us in the game.

What kind of activities do you have?

Activities will depend on the event. Kids from ages 2 to 90 are welcome to play with our collection of vintage wooden and tin toys. Other activities depend on your objective. For example, for a family reunion or company picnic we provide badminton, croquet, Frisbee golf and hayrides. For weddings we’ll help arrange the entertainment of your choosing. In the cool months, roasting marshmallows over our fire pit is popular and fun for a variety of events. For business parties, birthdays and anniversaries we can host a get acquainted “Reminisce” activity that involves everybody but puts nobody on the spot. Other activities offered include convertible rides, car shows, fireworks, scavenger hunts and sundae bars with ice cream, crushed cookies, syrups and candies.
